Welcome to Coastal Kids Preschool! Our school has been serving the South Bay for over 24 years. We are a family owned preschool that strives to meet the developing needs of children ages 2 to 5 years, emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually, through play and exploration. We also focus on developing skills that are relevant and age appropriate to further build the foundation for future success. We value a family oriented setting and treat all of our students, staff and families like our own. We look forward to welcoming your family into ours!
Our Pre-School, Our Family, Our Community
Coastal Kids Preschool has served the surrounding communities such as Torrance, Lomita, Redondo Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills Estates, San Pedro and beyond. Majority of our graduates from CKP attend one of the many local Elementary Schools, making it a smooth transition from Pre-K to Kindergarten. We get the honor of enrolling siblings, cousins and friends all around the South Bay, creating a stong Coastal Kids family presence in our community!
Children Need Play,
Lots of it
Here at Coastal Kids, we believe children need play. In fact, we believe that they learn best through play and exploration! That’s not to say we don’t focus on academics, because we definitely do! But we believe bringing in different modes of learning is so crucial in focusing on the whole child – socially, emotionally, mentally, and academically! We strive to meet the needs of all of our children – no matter how they learn!
Coastal Kids Preschool is a play based school that believes in learning through play, exploration and problem solving. Our students are given the opportunity to explore different modes of learning.
Each classroom has a curriculum created especially for their age group. It is important to meet each age group where they are developmentally at.
We love art here at Coastal Kids! We have found art to be very important in a child’s school experince. It encourages creativity and a way to express themselves!
We feel its important for our students to learn the skills and abilities to build relationships with their peers, encouraging socialization, independence and problem solving, as well as with our staff.
