Miss Karen is the founder and owner of Coastal Kids Preschool. She is a Torrance native that wanted to create an amazing preschool experience for families in her community. She has five children, Brandon (30), Adam (27), Evan (23), Ryan (19), Megan (15), one grandson, Maverick (21 months) and a granddaughter on the way! She loves spending time with her family and dogs!

Miss Yvette has worked for Coastal Kids for 22 years! She started as an assistant in our two year old class and since then has worked with every age and is now one of our Pre-K Teachers and facility Director. She has a son, Isaac (26) who she loves to spend time with. She loves all things New Kids on the Block, Hello Kitty and the color purple! She has been a major part of CKP’s daily success!

Miss Fui is our 2 year old teacher in the Starfish Tots class! She has been with CKP since Fall 2021 and has been such a great teacher for our 2’s. She has a son, Mane (2), boyfriend, Josh, and a baby on the way! She enjoys spending time with her family and loves to cook! She has been teaching and working with kids for three years.

Miss Paola is our other Pre-K teacher who has been teaching at CKP for a year. She is currently going to school to be a Teacher. She has a boyfriend, Fabian, and loves to read and write poetry. She has been teaching and working with kids for four years! Miss Paola gets along great with her students and their families, she is so friendly and personable!

Miss Lilia is our Spanish Immersion teacher and has been teaching here at CKP for two years! She has a daughter, Darianne (20) and husband, Brian. She loves the Spanish language and culture and does a great job teaching her students all about it. She is also very creative and crafty, she loves to draw and paint! She also loves music, vinyl records specifically! She has been teaching for 22 years and has been teaching the Spanish Program for five years.
